Qualitrol Expands Fairport Manufacturing Facility
Qualitrol is expanding its manufacturing facility in Fairport, New York, with construction now underway on a 50,000-square-foot addition.
The expansion is expected to more than double the facility’s current production capacity. The company said the project will also improve manufacturing flow and operational efficiency.
Construction is expected to continue through 2027, with current operations continuing during the work. Once completed, the expansion is expected to support 30–60% growth in headcount at the Fairport site across manufacturing, engineering, operations and related functions.
Qualitrol manufactures monitoring and protection technologies for electrical infrastructure, serving utilities, equipment manufacturers and industrial customers.
The company attributes the investment to increased demand linked to electrification, data center growth, grid modernization, renewable energy integration and aging infrastructure.
Qualitrol President Bala Vinayagam said: “The power industry is investing at a pace we have not seen in decades, and our customers are counting on us to grow with them.”
