In my last Perspective article, I wrote about introducing our new GridKnowledge podcast series, yet another channel to further our vision to be the trusted voice of the electric power industry. As the new chair of our Executive Editorial Board, this time it’s my great pleasure to introduce the new 2026/2027 board members.
This team of brilliant electric power industry experts have a wide variety of skills and experiences but most importantly, they are a team of trusted voices in our industry. In my previous Perspective article I mentioned how AI promises massive benefits to society but it can also make us doubt the truth or the value of media. One of the primary objectives of the Executive Editorial Board is to ensure APC Media continues to build trust and value in all that we publish. The Executive Editorial Board members serve a one year term and not only provide content leadership but also host, participate, and source experts to contribute to many of our published channels, including magazines, podcasts, online panels and webinars, in person event interviews and panels, and commentary. Each of the eight were chosen for their trusted position in their respective areas of experience, diverse perspective and skill set, and large network of subject matter experts.

Of course, many of you know both Alan Ross, CEO and Managing Editor of APC Media and myself, but others of the board ay not be so well known to some of our readers. My intention is to provide a brief introduction of each of my fellow board members and convey a sense of how their diverse experience and perspective will help APC Media achieve our vision. I welcome you to visit their online profile page for a more complete description of their extensive electric power industry experience.

Dr. Elizabeth Cook not only has frequent interactions with North American utilities through her current executive leadership at AEIC but she has an extensive utility leadership and engineering background. Additionally, APC media will benefit by amplifying her important work as an avid reporter through both written and interviews on her GridMod Podcast.

From his base in Abu Dhabi, UAE, Hassan Zaheer, Managing Partner & COO of a brilliant consulting firm, is a veteran board member. He not only has a deep power systems engineering background he has a long history of guiding some of the largest international component manufacturers with winning market strategies and brings valuable marketplace insights to APC Media.

Seth Johnson is also a veteran from last year’s board. Seth offers a view from his current role as president and general manager of a successful technology company serving utilities and industrials and is a frequent contributor to APC media in both written and interview host format.

After a two-decade-long career in leadership roles at several utilities, Dr. Ahmed Mousa recently left PSE&G (New Jersey) to continue his independent consulting work and university level teaching. To APC Media, he brings firsthand knowledge of implementing large programs in the important areas of distributed energy resources, grid reliability, electrification, resilience and artificial intelligence.

Ron Harper has over 40 years of experience in the power component manufacturing industry and recently retired from a president and CEO role which he held for many years at one of the largest electrical steel component manufacturers in North America. Ron is the resident transformer and supply chain expert on the board and his experience and insights will be valuable to all of our audiences but especially to our Transformer Technology Magazine readers.

After three decades as senior executive and owner of a brand name niche media business specializing in the power industry, Audra Drazga, hardly needs an introduction to many. Audra is another veteran board member and is our expert in power industry media marketing, company organization and publishing process. Just like all of our board member she brings a passion and large network of trusted subject matter experts that she will be tapping into, especially with her work with our Women in Power Systems magazine channel and podcast.
I hope after reading these short introductions you can see why I’m excited about our new board, you’ll want to get to know them better and learn how you can join us to further our vision to be the trusted voice in the electric power industry. Many of you are probably already one of our board’s 50,000 LinkedIn contacts or one of the tens of thousands of subscribers to of our magazines, YouTube, podcast or other media channels. If you’re not already connected, I welcome you to reach out, subscribe, connect and join our trusted community – created by practitioners for practitioners.
