KONČAR D&ST signs $32M transformer deal in Italy

Croatian transformer manufacturer KONČAR – Distribution and Special Transformers (D&ST) has signed a framework agreement worth more than $32 million (€28.5 million) to supply distribution transformers to Italy’s E-Distribuzione, part of the Enel Group.
The agreement covers transformer design, manufacturing, testing and delivery, with shipments scheduled between January 2027 and December 2028.
Under the agreement, E-Distribuzione must purchase at least 50% of the maximum framework value, with additional deliveries subject to subsequent orders.
The agreement was disclosed on October 8 through a stock exchange filing by KONČAR D&ST.
E-Distribuzione is Italy’s largest electricity distribution system operator, managing infrastructure that delivers electricity to residential, commercial and industrial customers.
A subsidiary of Croatia’s KONČAR Group, D&ST manufactures distribution and special transformers for utility and industrial applications.
