IPS acquires Belyea for transformer services
Integrated Power Services (IPS) has acquired Belyea Company, expanding its inventory of refurbished high-voltage transformers amid extended equipment lead times.
Effective October 7, 2026, the acquisition adds Belyea’s inventory of 69–230 kV transformers, SF6 circuit breakers, switchgear and instrument transformers to IPS’ Electrification division.
Based in Easton, Pennsylvania, Belyea refurbishes and resells surplus electrical equipment and provides engineering, commissioning, repair and field services.
“With power transformer lead times now measured in years, our customers need a partner who can put equipment on site in weeks,” said John Zuleger, President and CEO of IPS.
Belyea also engineers and rents portable substations for temporary power during outages, construction and grid modernization projects.
The acquisition connects Belyea’s inventory and engineering capabilities with IPS’ network of more than 110 service locations and transformer service centers.
