HD Hyundai Electric has signed a supply contract worth USD 67.9 million (KRW 98.3 billion) to provide 765kV high-voltage transformers for the U.S. market. This follows the company’s previous large-scale 765kV order in Texas valued at KRW 277.8 billion in September 2025.

The contract positions HD Hyundai Electric as a partner in the U.S. “Backbone” high-voltage grid project, which is operated by a limited number of utility companies. The company emphasized that its consecutive orders demonstrate its ability to meet complex design and strict quality standards.

The contract reinforces HD Hyundai Electric’s role as a trusted supplier of critical high-voltage infrastructure in the U.S., supporting the development of one of the country’s key national grid projects.
