Winder Power Completes Testing of 132/33 kV Transformer
Winder Power has completed testing of a 45/60 MVA, 132/33 kV power transformer at its facility in Leeds, UK.
The YNd11 transformer was designed, manufactured, assembled and tested at the facility. The company said the testing follows a multi-million-pound investment in its transformer manufacturing and testing capabilities.
Following completion of factory testing, Winder Power’s Transformer Services team will manage transportation of the unit to site, followed by installation and cold commissioning before energisation.
“This achievement marks a significant milestone for us and reflects a multi-million-pound investment in expanding our capabilities to support the growing demands of our customers,” the company said.
Winder Power has not disclosed the customer, destination or project for which the transformer was manufactured. A date for transportation, installation or energisation has also not been announced. The company said further updates will be provided as the transformer moves from the Leeds facility to its final destination.
