Trench Group and Astor Partner on Largest Contract for Data Center Transformer Bushings
Trench Group has signed its largest-ever contract, valued at over $59 million (€50 million), to supply AC high-voltage bushings to Astor A.Ş., a global supplier of power transformers for data centers in North America and beyond.
Feridun Geçgel, Chairman of the Board at Astor Enerji, described the bushings as “innovative, system-critical components for the energy transition,” noting their proven quality and reliability for high-demand applications.
Dr. Bahadir Basdere, President and CEO of Trench Group, said the contract represents a major milestone and highlighted the company’s early investments in expanding transformer bushing production, including in the U.S., which enabled delivery within a short lead time.
The contract reflects the growing demand for reliable high-voltage bushings to support data centers’ expanding electricity requirements. As investments in AI and digital infrastructure increase, components like these play an important role in ensuring the safe and consistent operation of power transformers supplying these facilities.
