Zetwerk Completes Power Transformer Installation in North Carolina
United States – Zetwerk Manufacturing Businesses Ltd. and its US subsidiary, Unimacts, have completed a power transformer installation in North Carolina, expanding the company's presence in the US power infrastructure market.
The installation comes amid increasing electricity demand from data centers, artificial intelligence and grid modernization projects.
Zetwerk reports US transformer delivery lead times of 12–15 months, compared with industry averages of 36–42 months. The company attributes its shorter timelines to coordinated international manufacturing and component production.
During FY2026, Zetwerk received transformer orders worth approximately $213 million (₹2,032.25 crore).
Its manufacturing portfolio includes power transformers rated up to 500 MVA and 765 kV, alongside transformer cores, steel laminations and tanks.
COO Srinath Ramakkrushnan identified transformer supply constraints as a challenge for infrastructure development.
The project reflects efforts to address transformer shortages and meet AI-driven electricity demand.
