E.ON selects Netel for new Sweden substation
Netel has signed an agreement with E.ON Energidistribution to build a new substation in Bollstabruk, north of Kramfors, Sweden. The contract is valued at more than $3.4 million (SEK 32 million), with completion scheduled for 2029.
The project adds to Netel’s work in Swedish power infrastructure, including design, construction and maintenance services for electricity networks and substations.
“We are pleased to once again be entrusted by E.ON to build a new substation,” said Jeanette Reuterskiöld, CEO and president of Netel. “It is a testament to our professionalism and ability to deliver.”
Netel reported net sales of SEK 2.92 billion in 2025 and employs approximately 800 people across its infrastructure, power and telecommunications operations.
The companies did not disclose the new substation’s voltage level, transformer capacity or equipment specifications. Further technical details and construction milestones were not provided in the announcement.
