LS Electric Wins $133M North American Transformer Order
South Korea-based LS Electric has secured a $133.41 million contract to supply 345 kV ultra-high-voltage transformers for a multi-site hyperscale AI data center infrastructure project across North America.
The transformers will be delivered in phases to nine substations across North America through 2030. The substations are part of infrastructure supporting large-scale AI data centers and their associated power supply requirements.
The contract follows other North American transformer orders secured by LS Electric. In November 2025, the company signed an approximately $338 million (KRW 460 billion) contract to supply 525 kV transformers to a U.S. utility. In April 2026, subsidiary LS Power Solution secured a $78 million (KRW 106.6 billion) order for 345 kV transformers for a U.S. Big Tech data center.
“This order is significant in that our ultra-high-voltage transformer technology and supply capabilities have been recognized in a massive AI data center project in North America,” an LS Electric official said.
