The MyTransfo 2025 Conference, hosted in Turin during the period 14 to 15 October has been celebrated as a huge success.
Turin is a remarkable city, known for its Baroque, Rococo, Neoclassical and Art Nouveau architecture. The city, that had once been the capital of Italy and a major European political centre, is now – a – days known as the host city of the MyTransfo Conference.
The conference is widely recognized for its impressive array of guest speakers, technical quality and insights and distinctive Italian flavour. Well organized, full program, industry important networking, technical discussions, and above all good food, covering topics ranging from sustainability, new products and innovation, risk and risk aversion solutions. The focus is very distinctively transformers, asset management and insulating fluids.
It is also the home base of Sea Marconi, widely renowned as a leader in transformer oils, diagnostics, oil treatment and regeneration and principal conference sponsor and organizer. The event this year included more than 20 speakers with more than 75 companies participating.
To many transformer techies, the not too be missed conference, offers a very distinctive focus on transformer insulating fluids. It is attended by transformer industry professionals from across the globe. This year had not been an exception, with conference attendance from as far as South America as well as Middle East. Numerous significant transformer oil companies, like Shell Midel, Farabi and ExxonMobil participated and attended.

The event, arranged every second year, had been hosted for the first time in the early 2000 and according to Chris Gerber, transformer industry professional and Belgium based consultant to amongst others, Yash HighVoltage bushings, who has attended the conference multiple times, “the event has grown in stature and importance over the years. I find the focus on transformer bushings of particular interest. However, this event is most likely the most importance conference on transformer insulating oils, fluid innovation, oil diagnostics and oil treatment. The fact that Exxon Mobil is here to launch their new oil underscores the fact. There is no doubt it will continue to do so in coming years”.
Simone Reboldi of BS Transfo, based in Italy, offering on-site and in-house maintenance and repair services, supported by advanced preventive diagnostic techniques and the design and manufacture of power transformers for utilities and industrial applications said “We regularly take part in international events dedicated to transformer technology. MyTransfo is particularly important for us as it provides a focused and highly technical environment that fosters direct exchange between manufacturers, utilities, and laboratories. This year’s edition stood out for the relevance of its topics -— from sustainability to asset management and resilience – and for the opportunity to discuss innovative approaches to transformer diagnostics and lifecycle optimisation.”
