KONČAR Named in Lithuania’s Five 16 MVA Transformer Deal
Lithuania – KONČAR Distribution and Special Transformers and UAB AUSGA have been named in an Ignitis Group procurement award for five 110/10 kV, 16 MVA power transformers, according to EU notice 727152-2026 published October 21.
AUSGA leads the winning tendering party. The contract was signed October 19 following a negotiated procedure that attracted four electronic bids.
The notice records a winning tender of approximately $5.34 million (€4.755 million) and a total awarded-contract value of approximately $6.46 million (€5.754 million). It does not explain the difference or allocate values between suppliers.
Conducted by Ignitis Group's service centre for Lithuania's electricity distribution sector, the procurement is partly financed through the European Regional Development Fund. It supports distribution network modernization and renewable energy integration through digital grid management.
The award provides context for transformer procurement and grid equipment supply. Delivery dates, installation locations and commissioning schedules are not specified in the notice.
