Indo Tech Secures 400 kV Transformer Order for Indian Solar and Wind Projects
Indo Tech Transformers Limited has received a Letter of Award from Leap Green Energy Group to manufacture and supply four 125 MVA transformers for renewable energy projects in India. The order is valued at $4.87 million (Rs 42.88 crore) plus GST.
It includes two 400/33 kV transformers for a solar project being developed for Magnolia Powertec Private Limited and two 230/33 kV transformers for a wind project for Crocus Green Energy Private Limited.
The award follows Indo Tech Transformers’ July 2026 announcement of a strategic initiative to expand into higher-voltage transformers, including the 400 kV class.
The company is implementing a $56.25 million (Rs 495 crore), four-phase capacity expansion programme, increasing manufacturing capacity from 14,000 MVA to 50,000 MVA by FY29. Phase 1 will raise capacity to 16,000 MVA, with subsequent phases targeting 20,000 MVA, 25,000 MVA and 50,000 MVA. The programme will be funded through internal accruals and term loans, without equity dilution.
