L&T Secures Major Power Transmission Orders in Saudi Arabia
Larsen & Toubro (L&T) has secured Large orders for its Power Transmission & Distribution (PT&D) business in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, marking another milestone in its growing role in the region's power infrastructure development.
The contracts include the construction of a 380/33 kV Gas Insulated Substation (GIS), featuring hybrid GIS components, 380 kV transformers and reactors, and integrated systems for protection, control, automation, telecommunication, HVAC, and firefighting.
Additionally, L&T will construct 380 kV Overhead Transmission Lines covering an aggregated route length exceeding 420 kilometers, aimed at strengthening Saudi Arabia's high-voltage grid network and enhancing transmission reliability.
These projects align with Saudi Arabia's National Renewable Energy Programme (NREP), which seeks to expand renewable generation capacity and modernize grid infrastructure to support the country's clean energy transition.
