Morristown Utility Systems Receives Prolec-GE Waukesha Transformer
Morristown Utility Systems in northeast Tennessee has received a new Prolec-GE Waukesha power transformer to improve the reliability and capacity of the local electrical grid. The delivery and installation were completed with the support of Ashby Company, a provider of electrical infrastructure solutions, and J&D Specialized Equipment Hauling, which handled rigging and logistics.
The project involved transporting and placing a large transformer in a location with limited access, requiring careful planning and coordination to ensure safety and precision. David Peirano, PE, Territory Manager at Ashby Company, played a key role in overseeing the project from planning to completion.
The transformer is part of an ongoing effort to strengthen the regional power infrastructure, supporting continued reliable electricity service for residents and businesses in northeast Tennessee.
