Wilson Power Solutions Delivers Transformer for North Yorkshire Solar Project

Wilson Power Solutions has delivered and installed a 60MVA 66kV/33kV transformer at the Camblesforth Solar Farm in North Yorkshire. The solar farm has a capacity of 49.9MW and is located near Selby’s Drax Power Station. The project is paired with a 24MWh battery energy storage system (BESS).
The installation is expected to reduce carbon emissions by 17,609 tonnes per year and supply electricity for approximately 22,800 homes annually. The transformer weighs 48 tonnes and measures 5.9m x 3m x 3.8m. Transport was handled by F.H. Bertling Logistics, and commissioning was completed by Integrum Renewables, a division of OCU Group Ltd.
