GERMANY - Effective 1 April 2019, Wilfried Breuer joined the management board of Maschinenfabrik Reinhausen GmbH (MR).

Breuer joined MR from European transmission grid operator TenneT Holding BV (NL) where his duties included responsibility for significant parts of the German transmission grid.

Holding a diploma in electrical engineering, Breuer has accumulated several decades of experience in high-tech applications of the international energy industry. Prior to his appointment at TenneT, he worked for Siemens AG for 22 years, spending some of this time in Africa and Asia and, for the final eight years, heading the crucial Power Transmissions Solutions business area.

Within the MR management board, which will consist of three persons in the future, Breuer will assume responsibility for the TRANSMISSION and AUTOMATION business areas as well as for Sales.

Michael Rohde is responsible for the DISTRIBUTION and POWER business areas.

As the spokesman of the management board, Dr. Nicolas Maier-Scheubeck remains responsible for the MANUFACTURING business area and for production and administration.
