US -  Vrigina Transformer supplies transformers to one of the world's largest data center operators

Virginia Transformer (VTC), the largest US-owned transformer manufacturer in North America, has announced that it has secured a contract to supply transformers to one of the world's largest data center operators. This comes after a rigorous qualification process, and marks VTC's continued success in serving the data center market.

Over the past year,according to the company they have earned supply contracts from almost 20 of the largest data center operators globally. VTC has been serving the data center market for over 20 years, and its transformers are designed for efficient and cost-effective performance, with features such as winding temperature monitoring, reduced sound and vibration levels, vibration isolation, and a totally enclosed, non-ventilated design for particle-contaminated environments.

The company has also established insulation standards for dry type transformers in environments with corrosive, particle-laden gasses and high humidity, and its data center applications are designed with special coil processing to deliver the highest reliability in the industry. This latest contract marks a significant milestone for VTC and paves the way for future opportunities with the data center operator.
