Virginia Transformer Delivers Power Unit to Support New Mexico Substation
Virginia Transformer has successfully delivered and installed a 3.33/3.73 MVA, 67/24.94 kV power distribution transformer for Columbus Electric Cooperative at the Spanish Stirrup Substation, located approximately five miles southeast of Deming, New Mexico. The project was carried out with the assistance of Greg Minor from Oberlander, the representative firm for the region.
Columbus Electric Cooperative, a nonprofit and consumer-owned utility founded in 1946, serves rural areas in southwestern New Mexico and southeastern Arizona. The newly installed unit is expected to support the co-op's ongoing efforts to ensure reliable power delivery across its service area.
