Virginia Transformer Delivers Power Unit to Nevada’s Coeur Rochester Mine
Virginia Transformer recently delivered a 15/20 MVA, 63/4.16 kV power distribution unit to the Coeur Rochester Mine in Nevada, one of the world's largest open-pit, heap leach silver-gold operations.
The Coeur Rochester Mine, located about 120 miles northeast of Reno, processes more than 88,000 tons of material per day. It employs over 370 mining professionals and serves as the largest employer in Pershing County.
This delivery highlights the company's ongoing role in the mining sector, where it has supplied transformers for more than 50 years. According to the company, it focuses on producing high-quality transformers while maintaining some of the shortest lead times in the industry.
The sale was facilitated by Rick Burgess of Pacific Power Reps, who represented the manufacturer in this project.
