Main-Danube-Canal, GERMANY - Viking Link will enable the exchange of electrical power up to 1400 MW and is an essential contribution to the energy transition in Great Britain and Denmark.

Daniela Preiss, Technical Marketing for High Voltage Grids at Siemens Energy, has announced that the Transformers for the Viking Link Interconnector are on their way to Great Britain. Last Friday vessel passed the water gate on Main-Danube-Canal close to Forchheim.

According to Preiss, Viking Link will enable the exchange of electrical power up to 1400 MW and is an essential contribution to the energy transition in Great Britain and Denmark.
