Trafosur launches new transformer factory in Limpio

ASUNCIÃ"N, PARAGUAY - In the presence of the President of the Republic of Paraguay, Mario Abdo Benítez, Paraguay's transformer manufacturer Trafosur has officially opened its second manufacturing plant in the country, located in the city of Limpio.


The investment in the new facility will expand Trafosur's production capacity by 40 percent, reports the news agency IP.

Trafosur is mainly focused on the manufacture of distribution transformers for the needs of the National Electricity Administration (ANDE).

Between the manufacturing facility in Asunción and a new facility in Limpio, the company is expected to increase its production capacity from 745 distribution transformers per month to 1,000 units per month.

Trafosur was established in 2004. It is a pioneer in the manufacture of transformers with biodegradable vegetable oil and exporter to different markets in the region, IP reports.
