Three Kyiv Transformer Substations Damaged in Russian Strike

On the morning of 8 July 2024, three transformer substations operated by DTEK, Ukraine's largest private energy firm, were either destroyed or damaged following a Russian attack on Kyiv.

 

The substations located in the Holosiivskyi and Shevchenkivskyi districts have sustained significant damage, as confirmed by a statement from DTEK's press service.The statement highlighted that power grids in the affected areas were also damaged. In response, power engineers are currently working on the ground to restore services. DTEK has assured that most households will soon have backup power sources to mitigate the impact of the disruption.
