10 Sep 2019

JOHANNESBURG, SOUTH AFRICA - The interim executive chairman at Eskom, Jabu Mabuza, confirmed that the process of appointing a new chief executive officer is underway.

The candidates for interviews have been selected and the company expects to be ready to present three names to the ministry by September 30.

Mabuza was appointed as interim executive chairperson and acting chief executive officer of Eskom in July, following the resignation of Phakamani Hadebe.
