Terra Clean Floats Tender for 291 Transformers for Renewable Projects
Terra Clean, a wholly owned subsidiary of Indian Oil Corporation, has issued a tender for the supply of 291 transformers for interstate and intrastate-connected renewable energy projects across multiple locations in India.
The tender covers 18 power transformers (Group A), 147 auxiliary transformers (Group B), and 126 solar inverter-duty transformers (Group C). Bidders may apply for one or multiple groups. The deadline for bid submission is March 30, 2026, with bids scheduled to open on March 31.
The estimated contract values are approximately $27 million (₹2.49 billion) for Group A, $466 000 (₹42.98 million) for Group B, and $18.8 million (₹1.74 billion) for Group C. Selected bidders will be required to furnish a performance guarantee equivalent to 5% of the total order value.
The scope of work includes design, manufacturing, erection, testing, commissioning, and operation and maintenance services. Delivery timelines range from four to 14 months, depending on transformer category and rating. A warranty of at least five years is required, along with repair or replacement guarantees for defective equipment.
Only Class-I local suppliers that are original equipment manufacturers with established manufacturing facilities are eligible to participate. Financial and technical qualification criteria have been specified for each group.
The tender forms part of Terra Clean’s broader renewable energy development initiatives, including recent land aggregation efforts for solar projects in Gujarat.
