Rijssen, NETHERLANDS - It was an exciting moment that they had been looking forward to for a long time.

TenneT TSO B.V. has announced the special milestone for the station replacement at Rijssen. For many TenneT colleagues involved and Strukton Power B.V., it was an exciting moment that they had been looking forward to for a long time.

According to TenneT, this year they replaced the old high-voltage substation from the 60s with a modern one. They work according to the modular principle; with prefab components (skids) they built the entire station in a few weeks. Last week they reached a special milestone here - demonstrating the entry and exit of the skids. This clearly shows the modular construction principle of the high-voltage substations of the future.

According to the company, Rijssen is the first in a series of more than 140 stations that TenneT will replace in the coming years.
