TEDA Signs Two Power Infrastructure Contracts With Thailand’s PEA
Samart Corporation Public Company Limited (SAMART) has secured two contracts through its indirect subsidiary Teda Co., Ltd. (TEDA) with the Provincial Electricity Authority (PEA) in Thailand, with a combined value of approximately THB264 million (about $8 million).
Under the first contract, signed on July 22, 2026, TEDA will supply 25 sets of power transformer monitoring devices to PEA. The contract is valued at THB103.9 million ($3.13 million), with completion scheduled within 240 days from contract signing and the handover of the construction area.
TEDA also signed a second contract with PEA on August 24, 2026, covering the supply and installation of a 115/11/11 kV power transformer and 11 kV switchgear for a 115/11 kV indoor GIS substation.
The second contract is valued at THB160.1 million and is scheduled for completion by April 30, 2027. Revenue from the project will be recognized using the percentage-of-completion method.
TEDA is an indirect subsidiary of SAMART through Samart U-Trans Co., Ltd., which holds a 94.35% stake in the company.
The contracts add to TEDA’s project portfolio with Thailand’s state-owned electricity authority and cover both transformer monitoring equipment and substation infrastructure.
