TARIL to Supply Transformers to APTRANSCO

Transformers and Rectifiers (India) Limited (TARIL) has received a major domestic order from APTRANSCO for transformer manufacturing and related works.
The order, classified by TARIL as a “Large Order,” is valued between ₹100 crore and ₹500 crore (about $10 - 50 million) and is scheduled for completion within 13 months. The contract adds to TARIL's growing order pipeline.
The company is also expanding capacity at its Changodar facility, with the latest expansion expected to be completed in August 2026.
The new order comes as India's electricity transmission network continues to expand amid rising power demand, renewable energy integration and grid modernisation.
India's peak power demand increased from 130 GW in 2014 to 243 GW in 2024 and is projected to exceed 400 GW by 2030, according to the Ministry of Power.
