Superstructure for Tennet’s transformer platform Hollandse Kust placed on floating pontoon

19 Sep 2022

NETHERLANDS - The two-day sea transport is expected to take place at the end of September/beginning of October.

Tennet has announced that from the manufacturing hall of EQUANS BeLux Smulders in Antwerp, the topside (superstructure) for their transformer platform Hollandse Kust was placed on a floating pontoon.

According to Tennet, following the load out, the steel structure will be secured in the coming weeks and prepared for the sail away to the final workplace at sea. The base (jacket) for this socket has been firmly anchored on the seabed since November 2021 at 18.5 kilometers (11.5 miles) off the coast of Egmond aan Zee.

According to the company, the two-day sea transport is expected to take place at the end of September/beginning of October. With the help of the installation vessel, the topside is placed on the jacket.
