The project called Stockholms Ström consists of over 50 sub-projects that will be implemented over next 20 years, including a new cable tunnel under the city, voltage upgrade, construction of new and replacement of old substations.

Currently under way is a $65 million project which will see a new 400-kV GIS substation installed to connect the cables from Anneberg and feed the existing 220-kV substation in Skanstull.
