Siemens energizes auto transformer for power plant in Pakistan

PAKISTAN -- Siemens has energized a 200 MVA auto transformer for a power plant owned by Kot Addu Power Company (KAPCO).

KAPCO is a Pakistani power company that owns, operates, and maintains a multi-fuel fired power plant in Kot Addu, District Muzaffargarh, Punjab, Pakistan.
The manufacturer has successfully energized a 200 MVA, 132/220 kV auto transformer on a turnkey solution basis at the KAPCO power plant, a source from the company said.
"Dedication and professionalism shown by the project teams from both sides in marking this tremendous landmark for Siemens Pakistan & KAPCO," said Waqar Ahmed, Resource Planning & Proposals Manager at Siemens Pakistan Engineering.
