Siemens Energy is the name of the new independent energy company that Siemens is creating to combine the businesses of conventional and renewable energy.

The new name will officially take effect once the energy business becomes a separate legal entity, which is expected to happen in April 2020, the company announced.

Siemens Energy will be publicly listed company by September 2020.

The new company will include power generation and power transmission segments, including the related service activities.
