GERMANY - SGB-SMIT Group's SGB Regensburg facility has completed the renovation works in the test bay area and the facility is back in full operation.

The power transformers manufacturer SGB-SMIT Group has recently completed the renovation works at the headquarter facility in Regensburg, Germany, the company said in a media release.

Works on replacing the complete floor of the test bay started on December 27, 2021 and finished on January 5, 2022.

The test bay was completely ready for operation on January 10.

"The first successfully tested transformers were transported to the dispatch area and our customers on the same day," said Ruth Dudenhöffer, Marketing Manager at SGB-SMIT, congratulating the Regensburg team on the logistical achievement.

In addition to the headquars in Regensburg, Germany, the manufacturer has nine production sites and further branches in 10 countries: Germany, France, the Netherlands, Romania, the Czech Rebublic, China, India, Malaysia, South Africa and the USA.
