13 Jun 2019

SCOTLAND, UK - Scottish and Southern Electricity Networks (SSEN) has completed a $.8 million (£3.8 million) upgrade works in an effort to reinforce and improve the electricity network in the Western Isles.

The project included installation of an additional transformer at Pollachar substation as well as establishing a second 33 kV electricity circuit stretching almost 30 kilometres from Drimore to Pollachar to provide greater resilience and reduce the load on the existing line, reports Network.
