Bangladesh's finance minister and a senior-level Saudi Arabian delegation met in Dhaka last week to discuss and agree on Saudi investment for a number of projects worth $35 billion, reports Construction Week Online.

Among the agreements on bilateral investment, the visit also saw six deals signed between Bangladesh and Saudi Arabia, including a memorandum of understanding related to manufacture of transformers and other electrical equipment.

An agreement on the construction of a 100 MW solar independent power project was also signed by Saudi's Alfanar Company and Electric Generation Company Bangladesh.
