Robert Wynn & Sons, working in partnership with Daher, has successfully transported two transformers from the port of Lorient to Belle-ÃŽle-en-Mer, France. The operation was carried out by their specialist heavy lift ro-ro barge, Terra Marique, which navigated into Le Palais for an early morning offload.

This intricate task involved meticulous planning, including local coordination, dive inspections, and quay surveys, to ensure the 80 meters by 16.5 meters barge could safely navigate into the inner harbor. The success of this mission is a testament to Robert Wynn & Sons' expertise in handling challenging transport operations.

It has been a busy year for Terra Marique, which has executed a series of complex transport operations. One notable achievement earlier this year was the delivery of cargoes to Alloa, Scotland, making history as the first shipping company to transport cargo via the River Forth, passing through the Kincardine and Clackmannanshire bridges, to Alloa in over six decades.

During the summer, Robert Wynn & Sons made headlines when they beached Terra Marique in northwest Wales to deliver a substantial 155-tonne transformer to a National Grid substation in Trawsfynydd. Additionally, they transported four 170-tonne transformers to the berth at Pembroke power station on behalf of Germany's Züst & Bachmeier.
