RESA Power Strengthens U.S. Operations with 3MD Acquisition
RESA Power, LLC, a U.S.-based provider of power systems electrical testing, transformer services, and life extension solutions, has acquired 3MD Power Services LLC, a company specializing in high-voltage testing, maintenance, and installation of large power transformers.
Founded in 2019 and based in Roanoke, Virginia, 3MD Power Services serves clients across the United States with expertise in transformer repair, installation, and dielectric fluid processing. The acquisition strengthens RESA Power’s capabilities in transformer services and expands its fleet of oil processing rigs, enabling localized service in the South Atlantic region.
Vince Lindholm, Vice President of RESA Power’s Transformer Solutions business, said the acquisition aligns with the company’s growth strategy to establish regional hubs focused on transformer products and services. Danny Hylton, President and co-owner of 3MD Power Services, will continue with the business under RESA Power, supporting integration and regional operations.
This is the fourth acquisition for RESA Power in 2025, highlighting a broader strategy to expand transformer solutions capabilities across North America. The company operates over 50 locations in the U.S. and Canada, providing testing, maintenance, and service for power distribution systems and components, including transformers, relays, breakers, and switchgear.
