RESA Power Expands in Canada with Acquisition of JA Tech in Saskatchewan
RESA Power, a provider of electrical power system services, has acquired JA Tech, a Saskatchewan-based company specializing in field and engineering services for electrical power systems.
JA Tech, headquartered in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada, has provided installation, commissioning, instrumentation, specialized cable evaluation, transformer assembly, and maintenance testing services since its founding in 2003.
According to RESA Power, the acquisition expands the company’s presence in Saskatchewan and increases its technical workforce in western Canada. The addition of JA Tech is also expected to broaden the company’s service capabilities, particularly in areas such as transformer services, electrical testing, and engineering support.
Kevin Noonan, President of RESA Power’s Canadian business, said the companies had previously collaborated on several projects and that the acquisition reflects the company’s continued expansion across Canada.
JA Tech co-owners Jason Dierker and Greg Bolen said the partnership will allow the company to continue executing its growth strategy while offering customers a broader range of services. The company’s clients include organizations in sectors such as utilities and mining.
With the addition of JA Tech, RESA Power now operates in five Canadian provinces as part of its strategy to develop regional service hubs focused on electrical power testing, engineering, and equipment support.
Headquartered in Houston, Texas, RESA Power provides testing, maintenance, and life-extension services for electrical distribution equipment used in industrial and mission-critical environments across North America.
