SWITZERLAND - The Swiss-based provider of electrical infrastructure products R&S Group recently announced a new Chief Executive Officer who is to supersede Dirk Soete.

Markus Laesser has been appointed as new CEO of the R&S Group.

Laesser has many years of international experience working as CEO and in other executive positions in general management, sales, marketing, and IT for companies including IBM, Microsoft, T-Systems, Dätwyler, and Oerlikon.

He has steered multiple business areas throughout structured transformations and change processes into customer-focused organizations. Extensive experience in sales excellence and in the management of global organizations in production and distribution as well as ICT and services rounds off his profile.

As new Group CEO, Markus Laesser will lead R&S Group in developing the key markets of electrical infrastructure with a focus on delivering the most reliable and efficient products and services, the company said in a press release.

With manufacturing facilities and offices in Europe, South America and the Middle East, and a wide partner network globally, R&S offers distribution and power transformers, medium and high voltage switching devices as well as certain products for railway electrification and industrial electrical connectors.
