AMSTERDAM - The transformer has a capacity comparable to the power consumption of more than 30,000 modern natural gas-free new homes.

Qirion has announced that the first of four transformers has been installed in the electricity distribution station in Amsterdam. This gigantic transformer has a capacity comparable to the power consumption of more than 30,000 modern natural gas-free new homes.

In December of this year, this station will go into operation and the first of 8000 homes can be built on Strandeiland, the first all-electric district of Amsterdam.
