WISCONSIN - Following the acquisition of SPX Transformer Solutions by Prolec GE, Prolec GE Waukesha is expanding its offerings in collaboration with Prolec Energy.  

Recognized as one of the largest U.S. manufacturers of power transformers from 5 to 1,200 MVA, up to 345 kV, the Wisconsin-based SPX Transformer Solutions has over 50 years of experience and owns the Waukesha® brand of transformers, services and components.

In October 2021, SPX Corporation's SPX Transformer Solutions business was acquired by GE-Prolec Transformers, Inc. (together with its affiliates, "Prolec GE"), a subsidiary of a 50/50 joint venture between GE and Xignux, a Mexico-based private company.

Waukesha has been renamed to Prolec GE Waukesha as part of the rebranding process involving a new logo and an expansion of its products and services.

"Our brand promise remains the same: to provide the most reliable, highest quality products and services as well as an industry-leading customer experience," the company said in a media release.

In the coming weeks, Prolec GE Waukesha will be presenting extended offerings in collaboration with Prolec Energy.
