Peru's energy and mining investment regulator Osinergmin has approved the power transmission investment plan for 2021 through 2025 valued at $931 million.

The investment will be spent on transmission projects in 14 areas, including various parts of the capital Lima, Lima region and Huarmey province in Ancash region, regions Ica, Ayacucho, Arequipa and Lambayeque, and part of regions Cajamarca and Amazonas.

Osinergmin will hold public hearings on February 21 in Lima, Cusco and Piura to present the resolution bill and will then accept comments for 20 working days. Publication of the resolutions that approve the investment plan is penciled in for June.
