Over $90m to be invested in three transmission links in Peru

PERU - Peruvian Ministry of Energy and Mines has signed contracts with the company La Niña SAC Transmission Line Concessionaire for the execution of three electricity transmission projects that will improve electricity supply in the departments of Tumbes, Piura, Huánuco and Ucayali.



The three projects include construction of a new 500 kV La Niña-Piura transmission link along with new substations and necessary extensions, a new 220 kV Pariñas-New Tumbes link, with new substations and necessary expansions, and a new 220 kV Tingo María-Aguaytía link including new substations.

The total investment needed to execute the projects is $90.7 million.
