NovAcec Services successfully repairs 120 MVA transformer

BELGIUM - To ensure continuity and minimize the economic loss for their customer, a spare transformer was installed in a very short term.

NovAcec Services S.A. has announced that one of this year's key projects so far is the repair works on the 120MVA transformer. A bushing failure lead to a fire on top of the transformer, affecting the windings. Next to that, the main oil tank was deformed and the radiators, fan coolers and all auxiliary equipment (protection and alarm) were damaged.

According to NovAcec Services, joining forces, the transformer was immediately dismounted on site and entered their workshop for major repair. To ensure continuity and minimize the economic loss for their customer, a spare transformer was installed in a very short term. After a successful repair, the transformer has been reinstalled and tested on-site.

Thanks to their expertise the transformer is now back in service.
