SHARJAH, UAE - India's oil and lubricant firm Texol Lubritech opened a new $12m manufacturing plant at the Hamriyah Free Zone Authority (HFZA) in Sharjah, its first automated unit outside the Indian subcontinent.

The plant will, among other oils and lubricants, manufacture transformer oils and have the annual capacity of 100,000 metric tons.

The plant was opened by the director of HFZA in the presence of the chief executive officer of the company, Simon Philip, and Gandhar group chairman of Gandhar Oil Refinery India.
