Maschinenfabrik Reinhausen Opens Power Quality Engineering Hub in India
Maschinenfabrik Reinhausen (MR) has opened a new Technical Excellence Hub dedicated to Power Quality (PQ) solutions in Vadodara, India, the company announced following an inauguration ceremony held on 25 February.
The new center operates under Reinhausen India and is intended to support engineering activities for both domestic and international markets. According to the company, the hub will focus on engineering-intensive solutions designed to improve the stability and efficiency of electrical networks used in industrial, distribution, and transmission systems.
Representatives from Maschinenfabrik Reinhausen management attended the opening event alongside customers, suppliers, and strategic partners connected to the company’s Power Quality business.
The facility reflects a broader strategy to expand technical capabilities in India while integrating design and engineering processes traditionally associated with the company’s German operations. The initiative combines engineering expertise developed in Germany with India’s engineering and manufacturing capabilities.
For more than 25 years, Maschinenfabrik Reinhausen’s Power Quality division has developed equipment and systems aimed at improving power reliability in electrical grids operating at voltages up to 500 kV. Such technologies are increasingly relevant as utilities and industrial operators adopt automated systems and integrate renewable energy sources into modern power grids.
The company stated that the Vadodara hub will contribute to the development of customized Power Quality solutions and support global project execution.
