Marsons Reports Transformer Orders for US and Indian Solar and Transmission Projects
Marsons Limited has reported new domestic and international transformer orders over the past two weeks, related to renewable energy and power infrastructure projects.
The company recently secured an international contract valued at approximately USD 0.64 million (₹5.74 crore) for the supply of pad-mounted transformers to FTC Solar Inc, a US-based solar solutions provider. The order covers multiple transformer ratings and will support solar and electrical distribution projects in the United States.
Earlier, Marsons announced additional orders totaling around USD 3.85 million (₹349.4 million) from Galaxy Solar Energy and LC Infra Projects. These contracts include the supply of inverter duty transformers (IDT) to Galaxy Solar and extra-high-voltage (EHV) power transformers to LC Infra. The EHV scope comprises one 70 MVA and one 80 MVA 132 kV transformer, while the Galaxy Solar order covers 72 IDT units of varying capacities. Both projects are scheduled for execution within six months.
In total, the recent orders amount to approximately USD 4.49 million (about ₹40.7 crore).
Kolkata-based Marsons designs, manufactures, and tests a wide range of power and distribution transformers, and is currently expanding its manufacturing capacity to support higher-rating EHV transformer production.
