Linxon Secures 400 kV Substation Project in Sweden

4 Jul 2024
Linxon, a leader in delivering sustainable energy solutions, has secured a contract for a 400 kV turnkey substation project in Sweden. The project, awarded by Svenska kraftnät, aims to strengthen the national grid and support the transition to renewable energy.

The substation will be located in the Southern region of Sweden and is a critical component in enhancing the reliability and efficiency of the electricity supply. The scope of the project includes design, engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning of the substation.

Frédéric Tréfois, CEO of Linxon, expressed his enthusiasm about the project, stating, "We are proud to support Sweden's ambitious renewable energy targets. This project underscores our commitment to providing advanced and sustainable energy infrastructure."

The new substation is expected to be operational by 2026, playing a vital role in integrating renewable energy sources into the grid. It will facilitate the transmission of electricity generated from wind and solar power, aligning with Sweden's goal of achieving a fossil-free electricity system by 2040.

Linxon's extensive experience in delivering turnkey substation projects globally ensures that the project will be completed to the highest standards, contributing significantly to Sweden's energy transition efforts.
