LFM Capital Expands Power Transformer Solutions with SESCO Acquisition
LFM Capital, a private equity firm specializing in manufacturing and industrial services, has announced its investment in Systems Engineering and Sales Co. (SESCO), a leading supplier of power transformer installation and maintenance equipment based in Fort Wayne, Indiana. This move expands LFM's electric grid reliability platform, launched earlier this year in partnership with ZTZ Services International, LLC (ZTZ), a provider of online transformer monitoring solutions.
Founded in 1968 and acquired by Jim Stout in 1981, SESCO manufactures equipment critical for the safe operation of medium and high-voltage transformers across North America. Its products serve multiple sectors, including power transmission and distribution, power generation, transformer manufacturing, and transformer servicing.
The collaboration between LFM Capital, SESCO, and ZTZ aims to address the challenges of maintaining and modernizing North America's aging electrical grid. Their combined technologies offer diagnostic, monitoring, and maintenance solutions that help utilities and service providers ensure transformer reliability, compliance, and uptime amid increasing power demands.
Executives from LFM Capital, including Steve Cook and Conner Harris, emphasized the strategic fit of SESCO within their platform focused on supporting the electrical infrastructure. Jim Stout highlighted SESCO's longstanding expertise and customer commitment, while David Freed of CP Energy Holdings noted the complementary nature of SESCO and ZTZ's offerings in the power sector.
