India, Mumbai - Larsen & Toubro's Power Transmission & Distribution business has won orders in Andhra Pradesh for the design and construction of two 400 kV substations with power transformers and associated electrical equipment and transmission lines.

These substations and connected transmission systems form part of the 400 kV ring network implemented to ensure uninterrupted power supply for the state's new capital city, Amaravathi, the company stated in the press release.

L&T also signed a contract in the United Arab Emirates for the construction, supply, installation, testing and commissioning of a new 132/11 kV substation and its associated works.
